what is this msf course?
i dont have a bike and i really dont know much about them, but thats why i want one soo bad... streetracing is soo burnt, and im lookin for somthin else different to try
i want to get a bike, i live in CA , and really dont know the steps to take..
people keep talking about this msf stuff, a class that gives you riding exp. so you can get a license, or do you take the class to get the license?
what is the best and easiest way to go about getting a license, for someone with no riding experience on the street
also is there any info on it like a website?
thanks guys

In short (in CA):
1- Take the written test at the DMV, pass it.
2- Take the MSF class (basics of riding, two days, one riding, one in a class) and pass the - easy- riding and written test.
3- Go to DMV with the certificate of completion of the MSF course they will add the motorcycle endorsement to your license.
For more information on the MSF course, call 1 800 cc rider.

If you take the class and do not fail the two tests there (easy), you do not need to take the DMV riding test.
As for the price if you are past 21, it is almost 200 $, but check with 1 800 cc rider.

Actually, I took the course, and for some reason the DMV made me take the riding test. I'm the only one i know that had to do it. Even with the coarse. it's like they didn't believe me or something. Down with the DMV! (i still passed it though) hehehe
Also, if you haven't taken your driver's permit test (the written one) within 12 months, they make you take it again, along with the motorcycle permit test (written).

is this a difficult class for someone with no riding experience to pass, the first time they take it?
so if i go to class and dont pass, its a waste of money?

It's pretty easy. Just don't be one minute late to a class or they drop you. And when i took it, it was 2 days in class and 2 days riding. Very basic stuff. common sense.
yeah, don't be late. but, if you are, they'll probably be nice enough to reschedule you in for a later date (that's what happened to me). you'll spend friday night in class, half of saturday in class, half on a bike, and sunday is your test day. easy stuff. good luck!
falcon - plus, you get to (legally) carry a gun.

this must be a CA thing. no such policy here in TX

MSF course is just awesome.
Teach you everything you have to know, and the test is easy too! I saw a guy trying so hard to pass the test at DMV and still failed.
I did a stoppie (not intentionally) and I still passed the exam!
Highly recommend! The easiest way to get a M license.
