Default tire pull?

I have a 98 gixxer 600. It still has the original dunlop 207's on it. They are chap and dry rotting too. When i go at a low speed the bike seems to want to off in the other direction like a pull. i remember when i got my chain done the guy said at the shop this would happened? Is he right????????????

check to make sure the wheel is straight, on the swingarm at the chain adjuster nuts there are marks on the swingarm it should show the same amount of marks on both sides and replace the damn tire even though i dought thats your pull problem
