Started class
Well I finally go around to taking the Safety course. Started last night. It is was a semi boring 3 hours. Alot of the stuff we went over seemed to be common sense. The instructor is great. He more or less gave us all the questions for the test.
I go this Saturday, next Thursday, and the following Saturday and am done. The actual riding starts Saturday.
It was a really diverse class. couple 16 year olds who can't even ride for another year. Couple guys in the later 50's and i would say over half the class was female.

Re: Started class (Gravity)
Cool. Most of my class were men; only four were female. In the end, only one female stuck around til the end (and passed). Some of the guys quit too.

Re: (SIson21)
Today was the first riding day. Lots of good info was given out.
I am freaking beat after 5 hours of riding. I was riding a suzuki GS250 all day. it was nice to throw around.
The coaches are cool as ****. The one wanted to show us crashes. But nobody wanted to see him take the bike down. I was all for it, he was willing to wipe out on the grass or black top.
I got yelled at once for a going a little to fast on the course. we were doing 15mph hard braking and i somehow was doing like 30.
Not that i have a ton of seat time, but it is nice to see the "rookies" learn to ride. You can see the progression all day long.
One thing i did learn today was how PA can give FREE clases. A small part of the permit and license fee goes to the class.

Most of the new bikers on the road today are middle-aged, believe it or not. So that makes sense.
