I'd be using a sissy bar or holding on if I were her. Falling off the rear and into those tires would be rather messy.

I'd be surprised if that were legal at all. Open wheels like that aren't allowed on public roads in most (if not all) areas, and should be covered with fenders.

honestly it's not the internet that's causing family pain, it's the actions of the person in question.

fact is, your actions can have ramifications beyond your own death, and causing the ones you love unbearable pain because you just had to do 140 on the freeway and crashed is incredibly selfish and immature.

furthermore, it's important that potential squids see that yes, the sport is deadly, and don't become full-blown squids. Looking at the squid video posted above with guys doing 70 mph standups in t-shirts, i'm sure plenty of people walk away from that thinking that doing stunts on the hwy and going down in no gear is no big deal. grisly photos of guys hanging from box trucks counteract that, or pics of guys whose bodies are mangled and rashed beyond recognition serve as a constant reminder that it's easy enough to get hurt when you ride responsibly, it's only a matter of time when you ride like a jackass.

i hate seeing pics like that myself, but i think of it as ill-tasting medicine.

</TD></TR></TABLE> I have to agree with this one... I drive a tow truck for a living and have seen things in person and cleaned up the mess left afterwards. Motorcycle accident are the worst..especially when it involves a much larger vehicle like a semi. Parents who buy there kids bikes need to check there heads instead of there pockets. Summer is always the worst times. I hate to see these things and wish there was more ways to let the public know how dangerous it can be in the wrong hands.
