Default My camera setup

Here's a video I made of my last track day at California speedway, using a solid state DVR, a 480-line bullet cam, and a LANC control button.

nice. good footage!

what did the video setup run you? i'm thinking about selling my current setup and upgrading. i'm tempted to buy the VIO POV1 setup, but it's like $675 or something, and your setup takes just as nice footage.

the VIO POV1 footage.

Thanks!

Life sux, it was about $600 shipped and $100 for the 480-line camera. The quality is pretty much depends on which camera you get, I got the cheaper one. So, it comes out to be about the same, give or take. Do you have a link to your VIO POV1?

ahh interesting, very similar pricing. here's a link to the VIO POV1. it's nice but the recorder is really bulky looking.

Thats one sick setup.

It looks like you had a close call there at about the 3:20 mark where that guy comes flying in off your left side and cuts the corner.

Yeah, that's my friend and it wasn't his fault. I hesitated a bit because I didn't want to pass him at that spot. He didn't have a clue that I was there, so he didn't realize that he cut me off.

My favorite paint scheme of all Hondas, Silver/Red. One time, some guy asked me where did I get that tail fairing for my F4i. Oh snap!

The microphone is inside a foam, in the truck. So all you hear is the sound from the exhaust.

I'm not an expert at video editing, so I haven't figured out how to edit out the windnoise. You can try to make the music track a bit louder and drown it out.
