Oh yes... bad news. after joey was taken, its not the same.
All I can say was that folks like joey were doing things they love, and that they were legendary at
for those that are NOT in the know... google Joey Dunlop
A small taste:
Joey lapped the TT course at more than 110 mph on no less than 250 occasions, in 98 starts. He won 80 replicas.
His very last lap the Senior event of this year was his fastest ever. He lapped at an average speed of 123.87mph
In only 8 years of his competing in the TT races over a 25 year period failed to win a race on the Island
Joey achieved the 'hat-trick' of three wins on three separate occasions.

Seems to be both?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Man
Nevermind, found the answer:
" The country is usually referred to as Mann and the island as Isle of Man (note alternative spelling of Man) for the anglicised version of Ellan Vannin. This is obviously not as confusing as the current discussion regarding Eire/Ireland since Mann/Isle of Man are used interchangeably."

Have two mates who race in the Manx (IOMTT) this year one was 3rd the other 9th in the 250 class. Forget what you see in the video, you cant imagine how bad the surface is. They dont let you run slicks either so you are moving all over the place on inters/road tyres. 9/10 if a road rider comes to a circuit you can **** all over them they establish a steady pace and dont look for the edges on the apex, which in their world might have a sticky out brick!
Thinking about the IOM for next year, dont know if it will happen but it would be cool to compete there just once.
Agreed.

I don't want to say that I'll ever compete, but it sure is a goal of mine. I will attend though. 2006 I intend to see Mugello. Perhaps 2007 the Man.

Is that the one where the guy just about sells everything just to make it to the Isle and race?
If so thats the movie I've been looking for. I currently own a sweet Documentary from 2003(?) on the TT.

That's the one. It's a good story about following your dreams but he isn't very fast.
