what gerneration and model?

the F model V Engines are STILL being used today in the VFR...

there were 2 years in which honda released an R model engine.

the early versions were considered focused sportbikes, the later years it has grown into a sport touring bike

I know very little about that generation other than the fact that they are well loved by the owners...

Quick enough, but a touch slower than a 600 supersport. Nice thing is they have steady power throughout the rev range so you're not forced to shift all over the place to get going. They also have a much more relaxed seating position, a really nice sound with a pipe, and have better range than your typical sport bike.

How much do they weigh? My old GSF600 weighed a porky 460 dry, but I could still get it on its stand.

Mike, you guys suck.
I put my bike on the center stand every night when I park it.

1- Put right foot on center stand tab.
2- Grab the convenient handle close to the passenger peg with right hand, left hand can hold the handlebar
3- shift weight onto right foot foot and press down while pulling up with Right hand
4- done.

I am NOT a big guy. My wife could do it. She is not a muscular woman.

Something about leverage, or so I heard.

note that Mike is talking about a previous generation VFR. The 2000s are 800 instead of 750. They are heavier though. I think the newer viffers are a smidge faster in a straight line, but the added pork makes them a bit slower in the twisties.
Great all around bike. It excels at nothing, but does everything pretty well.

Oh, I didn't know that I already knew how to do the boogie. lol. You can also just rock the girl onto the stand as well. Takes a couple of rocks.

Its not a beginner bike, but it's not an advance riders bike... GREAT all around choice, and you can make fun of your friends that are twisted into pretzels on there sportbikes
