Default Heed Help on stator cover

Sorry Im a newbie I replaced my stator cover on my 2004 Honda CBR 600 RR When I pulled off cover oil started comming out sorry if this is a stupid ? but Is that just motor oil that pumps through it I put new cover back on an waiting for gasket sealer to dry but do All I need to do is add more oil about a half a Quart poured out. Thanks

that was just a big mess to read. and yes that was motor oil that spilt out. did you replace the gasket with a new one?

Yeah factory uses gasket sealear so I just put new sealer on and slaped it on but Im just wondering do I just add some oil to engine to make up for lost oil I didn't know if there was a spot to fill it.

it would be in the same place where you add the oil in the first place. just check your oil level and add accordingly.

Ok thats what I was wondering If it was just motor oil and not some gear oil or something that you had to fill it with sorry Im damn new

i would just draina ll your oil and replace the oil and filter.

yes, the engine oil also lubes the tranny, clutch, stator and everything else that needs to be lubed in the block/crankcase. there is not a seperate fluid for the gearbox like a car has.

top off the engine oil and you are good to go.

also use periods from time to time...hahah
i need to do this as well as my stator cover has a nice gouge on it...
