Finally crashed!
After 13 months, 16K miles, and 5.01 trackdays of riding, I finally lowsided. 1st session, 4th lap at Thunderhill, I lowsided off of Turn 9. Can't blame anything but myself. Don't exactly know what happened though. Didn't go into the turn saying "oh shoot, going too fast" or anything like that. Just did what I always do and next thing I know, my head slammed the ground going anywhere from 50-70mph.
Damage to my F2- front fairing stay bent up. Anyone have a spare they want to sell? Track plastics took some beating, but thats why I bought them. Money well spent!! Frame sliders and bar ends did their jobs too.
Damage to gear- KBC TK-9 took a good hit, but did its job well. My helimot suit took some scratches and scuffs, but no road rash. Not even a bruise on the hip. Money well spent!! Alpinestar GP pro gloves did their job cause you can see the area where I slid my hand on the pavement. Alpinestar SMX-plus took a slight beating on the toe sliders, but no biggie.
After a decent spill, I have no road rash or broken bones. Just a sore neck and chest. My gear might have cost $3000, but it sure beats the pain of taking a shower with road rash or physical therapy after you break a bone.
I know alot of you have crashed wearing minimal gear and sustained minimal injuries, but please consider upgrading your gear before your bike. Instead of upgrading to an $8K 600RR with only $500 in protective gear, consider keeping that early 90's $2K bike and buying that $1K leather suit and those $250 boots. Thats what I did and I feel like that stuff paid for itself.

Heh, no, I went to UCD for a few years. Found out where THill, Lake Berryessa, and Cache Creek were in a hurry.

You could always do like me...
Gericke Tribal 1 piece leather suit - 375
Alpinestars SM-X Plus boots off ebay - 70
Joe rocket GPX gloves - 90
HJC helmet off ebay - 31 with smoked and clear visor
566 dollars for full body protection
I hate the 1 piece though it's ridiculously difficult to put on and take off and is just too much of a hassle to go to the store in. When I get some money I'm gonna buy a nice armored leather jacket and some draggin jeans.

9integra2 - Do you have pictures of the Helimot suit? I'm considering a suit from them since I've only heard good things about their stuff.

CC is fun! But I've heard they've totally revamped it since a few years back, so maybe they changed the odds...
Have fun at THill!!

The suit I was wearing was a rental. My suit is currently being made.
Slammed EG- its great that you're covering your entire body, but quality does matter. I'm not saying your stuff is cheap, but a bargain isn't always a bargain later down the road. I have a joe rocket highside suit that I simply do not trust. I'm glad I was in the helimot for my frist spill instead of the JR suit.

My friend has gone down twice in a JR Highside, and it's held up admirably well. The quality of fitment and materials would obviously be higher in your Helimot suit than a JR one. They're only a step higher than the AGV suits.
