Default F2 Noise

Have not dug into it yet, but my 1992 CBR 600 F2 is making a loud grinding noise from the front of the motor on start up, Any ideas on what I might be looking for?

Thanks
Erik

look into the cam chain tensioner. many people replace them with an APE aftermarket part b/c the go bad cause a rattling sound you can hear when the bike idles.

easy to do and fairly cheap, but that is only one thought. I guess it could be metal shavings.
