Depends what mount you have. I'm not sure if you saw my mount, but it's made my MANTIS POWERSTAND ( I think that's correct anyway ). There's very little vibration in it. I mounted TMKPRES' cam corder a few weeks back and it seemed fine. But on most occasions, it's my little tiny SD600.. lol.. Does the trick...

aah.. I've seen that one before. I heard the results are pretty good. However, I'd suggest you maybe custom make some sort of support bracket/bar from the end going down and resting on the gas tank to support the weight of the camera and the decrease the vibration.

Excuse my shitty MS-Paint skillZ, but this is what I'm referring to..

LOL.. It sucks, I know.. haha.. But you get the idea.

All you would have to do is buy a 6" bolt, 2 washers, 2 locking nuts and a little pad for the bottom of stools to prevent them scratching floors. First put that self adhesive pad on the nut side of the bolt. Thread one of the nuts on first followed by a washer then slide it into your mount followed by the second washer and nut and adjust to the specific height. I hope that makes sense. It should help get rid of any unnecessary vibration caused by the mount itself.

that same mount, and a rubber washer under a buddie's little cannon point and shoot...it kicks ***, the quality is awesome, and is far better then what youtube can support.

takes a while depending on the format. But you'll have to download that Youtube "mega" uploader or something depending on the file size.

I shot the vid in HD quality, and the size was about 350mb. Does youtube automatically condense it? Or do I?...Or do I just upload what I have without doing anything to it? cuz it has been like 25min and it is still uploading...first time uploading a vid to youtube

I depends on what format. Not sure HOW you're uploading it, but I believe (but correct me if I'm wrong guys) that most people use Windows Movie Maker first and convert it to .MPEG. Then it takes about an hour or two (for me anyway) to get it uploaded to youtube.

I was worried about that too, but it came better than I thought. just the wind noise (probably cuz it was about to rain) was an issue. Test vid, so kinda boring, but here

Tie down the camera cord next time?

...and yes, I was bored enough to watch that far into the vid

Visibility with the windscreen was much better than I thought it would be too

you talking about mounting and looking through a dark-smoked windscreen?
i think the visibility is good. here's vid i took a while back.

i personally like my mount for the front fender/wheel area. it gives a sense of true speed and whatnot...

ur right, by mounting on the tank, behind the wind screen, it seems a lot slower than the actual speed.
