to all soon-to-be new riders
congrats and good luck
If you're at all mechanically inclined and like to work a little on your own stuff keep im mind the 89-90 honda cb-1(400 cc gear driven cam inline 4)or a
88-91 honda hawk gt(650 cc v-twin). Both are generally regarded as great starter bikes but with their age you should probably be willing to diy a little bit.

I'm looking to take the motorcycle safety course next month. I've got a deposit on a brand new '11 cbr 250R. It's not expected to arrive at my dealership until early May.
My MSF class is actually at the end of May/early June. I passed on the CBR 250R and picked up an '11 Ninja 650R. I traded my Honda 400ex sport quad towards it and got a pretty good deal.
The best way to learn to ride is on low powered likes. The bigger and more powerful ones are takes a lot of effort and skill when you need to make quick manuvers
