954RR flushmount problems -- HELP!
So I've got LP flushmounts for the 54. Tried hooking them up today and went througha long seried of trial and error trying to get the sto0pid things wired up right. Finally, we get them right (atleast i thought so). We solder it all together...and then the running light just ups and quites working. Shortly afterwards the gauge cluster goes dead. I'm assuming i just blew a fuse...easy fix. But could someone let me know which wire is which (flasher, running, ground) on the bike so i know for sure?!?! I've heard not to run the running lights also. ANYONE with experience PLEASE throw in your 2 cents.
From the LP blinkers, the wires are Red (flasher) Solid black (Running Light - Actually 2 wires in this one, why????) and Black w/ White Stripe (ground). My bike has three wires, green, orange, and orange with white stripe.
I have the LP flush mounts. I didn't get the dual filaments, so I don't have running lights on mine. Might want to try wiring them without the running lights, but that shouldn't really matter if you are following the instructions.

I'm going to run them without the running lights. I just wanted to double check with someone to find out what the each wire is coming from the bike. Flasher, ground, running...
spank.... looking at the wiring diagram off the manual it looks like:
right blinker= light blue is positive; green is ground
left blinker= orange is positive; green is ground
if these wires keep the light on, then it's the constant... just switch them up to the ones with the white stripe. don't run the red wire from the LP blinkers... that's for the running light.
like i told you before... you can buy these adapters from LP. makes life much easier. that's if you didn't already chop the wiring straight from your harness.

Nice, thanks a lot man. I'll replace the fuse which should fix the gauge problem, and give it another shot.
Oh, and while I didn't chop the wiring on my harness, I did chop the end of the wiring on the flushmounts. Is that a problem to work with that adaptor?
