Performance shops in Cali
Hey I will be getting a fit come like fall sometime, and I will be moving back to Burbank, California like January of '09, anyone know of any good shops that I could bring my fit to to get some basic work done in burbank or close by, like intake, exhaust, chip, lowering springs, etc... or at least the stuff I can't do myself, which might be alot without getting established out there first. Also, I know there have been several posts about it, but just wondering what ppl think.... should I go with '07-'08 or '09 fit?? thanks for the help.
Camp 1320 is the closest shop I can think of to Burbank.
They are a vendor here on HT.
As for what model year to get. I am waiting for the 09's to come out before I buy.
If the 09's don't cut it I will pick up one of the few remaining 08's.

I can tell you not to get a "chip" for the ecu, that is pointless ricer stuff. Those "chips" with a universal tune that you buy an plug into the ecu are trash and usually do more harm to performance and engine life that anything else.
If you are set on some sort of ecu upgrade, you will want something that is tunable by a wideband or on a dyno. Try to extract what tiny gains you can from the engine, maybe make 89whp
. Money would be better spent elsewhere (unless you are going FI).
In terms of shops, there are a few good ones further south. Dynamic Autosports in Lake Forrest, XS eng. in Huntington, Church Auto in Wilmington for tuning.

Thanks for the info, I heard there was one around here that is family owned, but the person didn't know the name of it. I will take the Chip info into consideration, I havn't done any research on that at all, I was basically just listing what my '95 M3 has right now, I need major help deciding what mods and whatnot I am gonna do to the car when I finally get it.
