Default Engine swap

So recently I found out that my fit needs an engine due to low oil pressure. So I started doing research about getting another engine. Upon my research I found out that the auto engine and the manual engine are different. My fit is a manual. My question to you guys is would an auto engine still work or do I have to go with a manual engine. Thanks again in advance for all your advice.

Default Re: Engine swap

Go with the manual engine. Most times it's the harness that's different, and trust me, you DON'T want to deal with that headache. The time sink alone for that is out of even a lot of self proclaimed DIYers capability. Add in the fact that the AT has a transmission module, the MT does not... Trust me. Don't go down that road.
