Umm..wow I'm really stumped this time. Z6 manifold idle plm.
Well, today I got around swaping in my z6 mnaifold with throttle body. got a new gasket for it too. Bolt everything on and start the car... It will idle at 1,200 when the motor is fully warmed up. I already bypass the fitv and that didnt do anything. I already changed some of the vaccum lines and still didnt do anything. I took off my air intake and put my fingers on both holes inside the throttle body and didnt die at all. So I'm thinking I got a leak somewhere. The middle bolt is a bitch to get any tools down there to tight it up. How the hell you guys get around tighting this middle bolt the manifold!? My idle screw is all the way in and still idle at 1,200. Any ideas? I think I know I have a leak somewhere since i already put my fingers on both holes in the throttle body and didnt die. Could it be because I didnt tight the middle bolt enough to block off letting air in?
Bump...also I made sur i tighting all the bolts that holding the intake manifold to the block, it still ilde the same at 1,100 and will not go down at all, not even when i turned the screw all the way in. any ideas for me to check ?
Take a spray bottle, and spay some water around the intake manifild.
If the car sputters, then you have found where the leak is.
you can also spray some starting fluid around it too, and if the engine speeds up then you found your leak aslo.

Check the line that goes to the Master Cylinder.
Take it off and hold that hole closed on the manifild. Maybe you have a leak in that line to the M/C or the check valve in there is going.
