Why are my tires getting chunked on the sides?
I am not sure if it is still happening or not (but I saw a 3'' strip of rubber shredded on the sides today). But the sides of my Kuhmo 712s are chunked on the rear. I just had an alignment and my camber is less than -1* on every wheel. This seems to only happen in the rear though. Any ideas?

Inside or the outside of the tire? Is it rubbing on anything that would cause the rubber to strip off?

Outsides, not even sure about insides. I looked at the lip on the rear 1/4s and it doesn't look like it could have done the damage. It's really confusing. I also run like 38psi cold so I don't think it's because the pressure is too low.

Tire pressure is different with all tires. Anyway. On hard acceleration your car is "squatting" which draws the rear end down and the front end up. Or a hard bump will also cause your tires to rub on the inner fender. You need to roll the lip in the rear fender wells. That will take care of your problem.....

i have a rubber piece on my fender lip that just rubs the tire and doesn't cut in.. but it's stock...
i know tire pressures are different per tire, but that much! i dunno... maybe so.. can't remember what i had my 16's at, but my 15's are at 34..
btw, love the avitar..... she's hot....

You either have to have roll your fender or have it jacked out by a body shop. If you roll the fender you stand a chance of rippleing the rear 1/4 panel which will look like poop.
But, on the other hand I had to pay $400 for a body shop to roll the rear fenders so they do not touch the tires even under the hardest turn or bump.
So those are your choices but I would assume that that is your problem.

How come I couldn't take a hammer and just tap around the lip to bend it? Or will that **** things up bad?
Also why has it started doing this now? Could it be my rear discs? Did the integra one throw off my offset?
