Project Log of 90 CRX HF with a JDM h22a swap!!! 10 lbs of shit into a 5 lb bag!!!
The project is to fit 10 lbs of **** into a 5 lb bag. AKA h22a swap into 2nd gen CRX. I will have a detailed write up with good photos. It will take me about 2-3 weeks to do the swap and about 4-5 days for the wirring to be done obd0-obd1. I am just waiting on the JDM h22a transmission and it should be here Friday if not then early next week. Soon as I get it the d15b will be yanked. Going from 60 whp to 180 whp 3x the stock engine will be realllllly nice. Below is what the project consists of. The cars goal is to be a daily driver that can tear it up and get mid 12 passes on street tires off the bottle.
93 JDM h22a engine and transmission obd1
90-93 Integra axles, F series midshaft modded, cheap ebay b series mounts for ef modded. Custom bracket for cable to hydro. Custom Custom Custom….
Engine work
KMS SS valves both intake and exhaust
Stage 2 pNp by me
30k mill of the head should be close with headgasket to 11-1 range
Stock else
Parts
8 lb fid Anza flywheel
Stage 3 XTD clutch kit
PG LSD
1 lb altenator only unorthodox crank pulley
Skunk2 cam gears
Spoon chipped JDM p13 ecu
Greddy header modded 2.5”
Custom traction bar system
92-00 civic aluminum racing radiator “becool”

Goodies to complete the project!

Custom ebay B series to EF mounts, that will modded big time for the h22a

May, 7 - broke the engine down, next is take head apart and have it semi built with valves and pNp and clean the engine. The engine looks good so far ports look evenly far as how it was ran and no sparkles when i drained the oil which is a good thing!

The oil cooler was a nice find, I am assuming all jdm obd1 h22a had them.

Thought I'd show off my handy work of a previous customers b series head!

You do realize that the h22 head flows great from the factory and you doing your own pNp work prolly just hurt the flow on it. Or... are you talking about port matching your header and intake with a dremel? I am also curious how you claim it being "stage 2"?

is that sticker on the upper left of the windsheild a joke?
you've got your hands full with fab work, but you seem to know what its going to take to get it in there.
good luck to you.
ps, what no cams or pistons?

i havent seen a lot of evidnce for a stock block to need more than a pocket port.

You guys really dont think a full port job will do good on the h22? under seats everywhere intake/exhaust?

Go ask the prelude guys or search over there and you will find your answere
For what your plans are as of now, I would say no. It is very easy to mess up on the port work on a h22 head since they flow so well from the factory. Good luck.
