If it was originally a 5speed it should have a 3 in the 1st part of your VIN. If you have a 6 after the 3 in your VIN and it has factory sunroof you have an SI. If you don't have a factory sunroof it's an HF.

CRX's also didn't come with power windows or steering. Leather seats were probably put it in later by the owner

Is it possible that you still have all the gas in your tank but the fuel sensor is messed up thus giving you an empty reading only after 3 miles?

this would be a good time to install an integra sending unit. these are able to let you know when you are actually running low. your gauge might also be bad, mine used to jump all the way up after filling and go down 1/2 way then stay there, till i filled up.

Sounds like your gauge or float is bad.

It's a bad gauge or float. Actual fuel economy has absolutely nothing to do with the level in the tank unless there is a leak fro the tank, then the higher the level the faster the leak.

He does not actually say he loses fuel fast what he says is the gauge shows half to empty fast. He has inferred that means losing fuel fast, but he provides no data to support that inference.

The fuel level gauge in these cars is not linear, nor is it linear in any other Honda that I've ever owned. You will always see the level drop more quickly as it gets lower. Of course it is possible that your fuel sending unit or float is defective, but unlikely. They all do it.

Keep in mind that parking on an incline will also affect the level of fuel displayed on the gauge.

The gauge and tank have absolutely nothing to do with the car's fuel economy. Average fuel mileage is calculated by dividing miles driven by gallons burned, thus you should be estimating your mileage by checking the trip odometer and the volume of fuel indicated on the pump when filling up.

Test alternator output and battery.

after it reads e if you put gas in it how much does it hold? should hold 10 gallons if its empty.. thats a easy way to tell your mpg.. fill it up and drive it till e, at e you should have went 300 miles. that would be 30mpg witch is what you should be getting at least
