Default obd0 ecu plug pin removal

Hey guys i'm trying to pin the wires for my obd0 vtec subharness into my ecu plugs and I have 2 of them in but im having trouble getting the existing pins out for the last two wires. I already pulled out the little plastic keeper thingy but the pins dont seem to want to budge. Any tricks for extracting the pins from the little black ecu plugs? And yes I tried searching but only found info on removing pins from obd1-2 plugs. Any help is appreciated

for the smaller black plugs here's what i do. pull out the plastic like you've already done, push and pull the wire to loosen it up a little, using a sewing needle i put the needle under the tab and press it against the floor to make it pop out. sewing needles work great for depining the black plug. Walmart sells a kit of assorted needles that's made by Singer. Costs about $2. The perfect pin remover is in there.

The tab is near the end of the dental pick in the pic:

Make sure to remove the white comb like pieces..

Yeah thats what I figured the tab was, but I still cant get it out. I must have tried like 6 or 7 different sewing needles. So you stick the needle through the opposite side of the plug from the wires, through the holes in the middle of the plug? Then what do I do from there?

yes stick the needle through the front of the plug. The needle needs to go through the middle slot angled towards the outside of the plug. Now press the needle in until you feel resistance. Once you feel resistance, press the needle in a little bit more (press top of needle against the floor). Now that tab will be depressed. Pull out the pin. Propably won't slide right out, you'll need to pull on it, doesn't require too much force.

What do you mean by "press top of needle against the floor"? I havent tried your method yet... just want to be sure what you are trying to explain before I attack it.
