Default code 9 on ZC still...

well went to the junkyard today and found a 88 teg cyp sensor. as that is what my car has been throwing a code for for the past week. came homme let the car cool, swapped it out with the new (used) one, unplugged the ecu and reset under the hood. plugged everything back in and still the darn code comes up, it comes up as soon as the car is started. as suggested before i checked the wiring, turns out ok. i swapped the 2 wires for the sensor from where they were connected before, and it idles a bit better but after about a min or 2 the code comes back up (doesn't come up as soon as it's started). so not sure which way it needs to be wired as the code comes up either way. and "reparitions" said it shouldn't come up if i have it wired the right way.
so my only guess is the distributor as "rep" has said. or is ther something else i am missing?

try looking at the ecu side. loose pins on the ecu can cause this. i was throwing code #4 which was the crank position sensor for a whole 3 weeks. i've rechecked everything and purchased me a brand new distributor and still gave me code#4. til i found this site and met blown90hatch...he stated make sure all your connections are good. i found out the next following morning....it was a loose connection on the ecu side. damn it took me 3 weeks to get rid of code#4. hope this helps. good luck
