Default Rear Suspension???

Ok the car is a 1990 civic si hatch. The suspension being used is new KYB AGX strut with Megan racing Coilover Sleeves. Ok the front went on without a hitch and the back I had no problem with the bolts or nething like I thought I would, but when I put the sleeve on the rear strut I noticed that the sleeve wants to fall into the perch. is there anyway to fix this? do I need to knock off the perch and flip it over or is there a spacer that slides over the strut and sits on the perch to make a flat surface for the coilover sleeve to sit on?? Anyhelp would be great sorry for the newb question but I can't find any info.

it's ground controls with tokikco blues i've been running it for about 4-5 years now and the shocks are still good the sleeves are fine too they just sit a little crooked

i remember seeing somewhere on here where someone actually cut the spring perch so the sleeve would fit better but i don't know exactly how to do that

i was going to do it to mine but got lazy

UPDATE Kyb strut perches are welded. works fine to flip stock perches over. ok so we are stuck like chuck again. should we
1. Cut down the sides of the perch to allow the sleeve to seat correct.
OR
2. Buy a washer to sit on the perch so the sleeve will sit correctly.

would like to know what everybody else is doing. I know there are some people running KYB AGX with sleeve coilovers be it skunk2, omni, megan or ebay.

and if your running GC/Koni and don't have this problem good for you.

yeah I seen that thread ALONG time ago. Hell this is the 1st time I have been on HT.com since they changed the format. so I feel like a big NOOB again. We are depating wether to cut the perch, but we want to see pics 1st. and as far as the washer thing it should work just have to find the right size washer. a BIG ONE. lol

what you can do is get another set of collars put them on the bottom threads of the sleeve just buy those cheap *** coil overs for the collars i would think that would work hopefully they are the same threads and size
