1990 Crx Hf Restore and Boost Build Tons of pics
Well I recently decided to restore my crx from the ground up and what a great time to do it after I melted a piston and had to pull the engine anyways.
well after melting pistons in not 1 but 2 stock b16's I decided to do a fully built gsr bottom end with a b16 head with ctr cams and valve-train.
partial shaved bay did it the ghetto way no welding and grinding just filled holes in with seam sealer and smoothed them over.. a full wire tuck and engine tuck..
Comments fully welcome

The engine is a stock sleeved piston rod engine Cp pistons, eagle rods, acl bearings, micro polished, and full balanced crank.
skunk2 intake manifold, fidanza 7lb flywheel, clutch built by a local clutch shop it is kevlar on flywheel side and ceramic on pressure plate. aem fuel Rail and 880cc precision injectors for now will have to upgrade to RC 1200cc for E85 tune

Starting on the wire tuck the easiest thing I figured to do would be cut the plugs off closest to the headlight and turn signals evenly and go to the junk yard and get a perfectly clean virgin harness off another ef.
cut it closest to the inside of the car so instead of having to solder twice as much you only have to do it once.
Also all the wires are the same colors on most of the efs so not a big hassle if you mess up they color match back up

Close color but yours doesn't have the pop as mine.. yours has a little more penny color but yours looks good... you should flip that brake booster hose upside down and the valve it will help with a cleaner look.
not to much progress this weekend due to holiday and family..
managed to clean the transmission and alot of little odds and ends on the engine

i love having a lightened flywheel when i was all motor b16 with intake, exhaust, header intake manifold, and tuned with a light flywheel it will rev sooo much faster.
i have been driving with a lightened flywheel now for about 8 years straight so to me its normal feeling. a lot of people say it looses torque and its harder to drive in traffic and start off but its what your used to. just my 2Cents.

Ill post more pics of the car when I get home today. I have a lot of body work to do I'm going to be cutting both quarter panels out and replacing them with 2 cut out pieces.
still have to find a drivers door and passenger door they have rust in the bottom of them.
going to use a new front/rear bumper and new hood for paint

Wire harness is finally done to the point of having to put the engine in the car to finish the very end at plugs.... I still need to make some kinda clip or bracket to hold the wires up underneath the intake manifold.
the engine will be going in tomorrow and front suspension here is a few pics of the harness completed!

sick build, I hope you don't go to the same tuner that melted 2 pistons... built motors really suck to blow due to some one else not being good at their job.
