How do you pull codes?
i used the genisys when i was at school last year. its pretty decent for sure. I found it to be better than the snapon tool that im using at work now. Tech2's are the best for GM's though. It all depends on what you work on most. For a generic tool, genisys or snapon is your best bet. Thing i hate most about snapon is having to use the keys and that its pretty slow.

snap on verus at least throws manufacturer specific codes. not sure about the genesis.
you can pull codes from jumping 2 of the pins on the datalink connector. i believe pin 21 is one of them, since that should 12v. can't remember the other one.

don't need the keys with the wireless DL-4 connector. that thing's the cats ***. for a generic scan tool, of course.
