Default Help recognizing this broken cable

Hey all!

I just bought myself a 2003 CR-V with a 2.0l gas engine, very little mileage and all and all in great condition. I like my car very much and I believe I made a good deal buying it. However, when I opened to hood to inspect my car a bit more thoroughly I noticed this here cable was cut. As far as I know cables should not be broken like this! I would appreciate any help recognizing this cable so I could replace. I was unable to find an answer to what this is by googling.

Thank you very much in advance.

Yes, guessing your cruise control does not work. So repairing that cable (looks broken, not cut) could restore your cruise function.
