Can anyone help me with this? Mechanics are baffled. I have a 2015 automatic with an electric shift lever (not the conventional mechanical forward and back P N D L R lever). Engine starts okay. Then warning lights come on in sequence - transmission, then the various safety feature lights. Shift lever is dead. Car won't go into gear. Diagnostic reader implies a communication fault because it cannot access transmission fault data.

Engine runs okay. There are no engine warning lights, only the transmission light and the CMBS lights etc.
