2005 Honda Element: A/C Problems(Not cold, bad idle(almost stalls), and knock)

BACKGROUND
Rpm problems before accident. Got backed into, got everything replaced, a/c worked on, Freon was refilled. Started hearing a random knock coming from passenger side but can't find exactly where.

PROBLEMS
When I turn on my A/C the rpm's drop, the engine shakes and kicks rpm's up. Seems like it is almost going to die but keeps coming back. Noticed it also had a knocking noise every minute or so when a/c is on. The a/c now isn't getting cold. Took it to the shop and they said they don't know either. Any suggestions(cheap and easy would be great but I know that's probably not the case lol)

The shop doesn’t know?! Wtf. Well what are the low/high side pressures? Tell them to fix it or get your money back.

Is the clutch turning the Compressor when you turn the AC on?

Sounds like the Compressor is bogging the Engine when you turn it on?

Bad Clutch, bad Bearing???

Sounds like a faulting compressor. When you turn on the AC the clutch sounds like its engaging properly but you state that it drags on the engine significantly.

If they put gauges on the car they should be able to easily diagnose the problem by looking at the pressure on the high and low side. get gauges on the car and send us a photo of the system running.
