Break Fluids interval
The service reminder came on my CRV indicating I need to have the break fluid changed. The car is a 2019, with less that 15k miles on it. It will be three years old this fall, so I think the service reminder is programed to three years for the break fluid. Is that a normal interval for the break fluid with only 15k miles, or is Honda just trying to get me into the shop for them to make money?
Most types of brake fluid is hygroscopic, which means it will absorb moisture from the atmosphere. Generally, the recommended brake fluid replacement interval is every three years. It is not mileage based.
