i might be the third one...!?!? i have this mod in 3 of my standard Vs, my "track V" had never gotten
any issues from it.. its a big difference from the stock ones if youre keen in driving your V or really playing
around with it... its ucks that the pivot cup is $20 now and the fit ss kit is just $40..LOL!

idk if this new kit from fd/fg civics would work... its cheap!

Yeah it's looking for me like I'll end up paying about $65 for the Fit SS kit, and about $40 for the cup. Prices have really gone up since this was invented =P

Thank you for your reassurance guys... My good tech friend had complaints about short shifting cable shifters, say they always bind up after some time.

Anybody try the Skunk2 Fit short shifter kit? And can't you just reuse the existing cup from the CRV shifter and just pop it on the adapter?

I was eying the skunk 2 kit its like 42 shipped on ebay. im sure for a part like this the ebay cheapy would probably be ok but i am still slowly trying to try to find the cup cheaper myself. no Honda parts sites sell that thing. i still need to hit the dealer and ask.

I was also toying with the idea of buying a Fit short shifter kit by Revo, the whole shifter assembly. Wondering if I could take the shift stick out of the assembly and put it in a CRV shift assembly. This way it is a shorter throw and the length of the shift stick is already shorter. I'm putting this in a Civic BTW, so I do need to shorten the length of the shift stick. Just an idea, but I hate to spend the $$ if it's not going to work. Looks similar though...
