2001 Honda CRV - reupholster sunvisors and adding homelink garage door opener inside
I recently had these visors re-upholstered, and when I had them apart I took advantage of the ability to eliminate the safety stickers and also add a "homelink" garage door opener inside. The fabric isn't an exact perfect match for the interior but I'm plenty happy with it. Wiring up the homelink was easy- it just needs constant battery power and a ground. I had the car apart for other work at the same time. The tricky part here is figuring out how to get the wire from the visor into the a-pillar area. I carefully cut the sheetmetal just a little bit in the body near the roof- so I could pass it over the header and wrap it down the a-pillar where I put in a quick connector. Sure - you can see the wire- but it looks professional and I've done other cars like this in the past.

Running the wire neatly through the a-pillar area shows your attention to detail. If you ever need advice on similar custom installations or want tips on integrating tech like Homelink, chatting with expert garage door repair services could be really helpful. They often have insights into wiring and setup that can make projects like these even smoother.
