Diffuser? We might need some more info.

And the black box on the firewall is part of the EGR system if I remember right.

I think he is talking about the lil black plastic lining under the rear left side of the civic vx hatchback. I have a vx came wit it . I don't think it really does anything...and no one see's it...but try http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/home.htm

U may be able to get it from them or obtain the part number from them

It's the part on the left side of the car that covers the gap between the rear bumper and the fender liner. It keeps a bit of air from getting in there.

Air trapped inside the rear bumper slows ya down and decreases mpg, that's why the VX has it.

exactly , although I dont want it for gas mileage
I'm trying to minimize turbulent airmoving under the car...

It's not a diffuser. It's an underbody panel. Check the front of the VX...I think they might have some panels (unless the brochure was referring to the chin spoiler).
