Default vtec problem code22 ne 1 have simliar problems??

this is actually pretty confusing to me. Vtec does engage fine in first and second but in third the cel light comes on for code 22 then vtec stops working. it seems it works in fisrst and second cause its not engaged long enough but when it engages in third for a while right before redline by about 1000 rpms it comes on. you have any idead i know i did have a loose in the ecu harnes before but i am certian that they are connected right know ive checked 5 times know to make sure ther's a connection. its a sohc vtec d16y8 with a chipped p28. ive never had this problem before my car sat in the driveway for 6 months until i changed the tranny after the swap im having this problem. let me know what you think of this?? also everytime i shut the car off and re-start it the light is gone and dont come on until 3rd gear vtec

im not trying to isolate one person or something i know for a fact there are definitaly pletny of people on this site who know alot more than a few things on hondas. it just sucks when u ask something and noone seems to give a f*ck bout what you hot to say. it seems that most posts arent about problems about there car but its about that there car got stolen or how much power i will make or stupid **** like that and those are the things that people respond to. that to me is reatrted if you want to talk about stupid **** like that make a freakin char room i thought this website was suppose to be dedicated to helping those who have problems with there hondas get fixed not which rims look better or will my gsr bet an si. thats just retarted. as the website goes honda-tech thats what it should be more about not honda-opinion ect. people should reslly stick to technical stuff thats what this site should be geared around which it was but know it gettin way out of hand

Jesus Christ man... you gave it a whopping 40 minutes before you started bitching about no one responding.

I don't know about you but I have a job and I don't sit on the internet all damn day.

The more you bitch the more you'll get flamed and not get help. Give it some time, and I'm not talking 5 minutes from now.

code 22 = vtec pressure switch. did you check your oil level? check the screen behind the switch to see if it clogged. the plug to the switch tight? ground to the switch? switch got signal from the ecu?

as a h-t member i don't speak for everyone here, but we can do anything we want. if we want to respond to your post then we will if we don't then you **** out of luck just calm you *** down.
