unplugged my vtec controller because of a check engine light after my engine bogged and now i have no vtec. took it in to honda, and they said it was a vtec code, and that my ecu had been tapped so they couldnt do anything. if i took the controller out, would it revert the ecu back to normal? i also get a real shotty idle when the controller is unplugged. i think its time for stock fuel management for a while. its a fields unit.

 

I've heard of the Fields causing problems. Check the code yourself (serach the archive, with the title for checking code or something of that nature) and you should find it.
