Well if i'm at 40mph it just jumps to 60 mph and back when i'm in second gear entering vtec at 5200 rmp and the in third from 80 mph it just jumps to a 100mph and back and keeps on bouncing back and forth.

I believe that happened to Paul Walker too at 120-140 in the Fast and the Furious.

Perfectly normal... XD

Check your speed sensor wire harness, coolant finds its way down in there along with other crap, and the pins rust away.

Vtec actually... look at any OEM Honda Vtec sticker. Not VTEC lmao.

The 120-140 in the fast and the furious... god that part killed me. Got me hooked for the rest of the movie haha.

Check your Vss sensor, unbolt it and clean it. Then put it back in.

Check your plugs, speed sensors almost never go bad, and the plug rusting issue is a VERY COMMON problem, happened to me and 3 of my friends so far, all failed because the blk/yel wire terminal rotted out.

umm i doubt the it will come on again... and if it does just reset it but unpluging your positive wire on battery. this should be your resort... make sure you are doin all of this while your car is off... good luck

Well the VSS code is 17 - I've seen it too many times in the last week to forget it.

So go here:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1901557

And check your CEL - see what it is.

If it's JUST a code 17 and you tried plugging it back in and putting dielectric grease in there 'n such and still no go, it's most likely your VSS.

If it's NOT a code 17...tell us what code(s) it is.
