for the life of me i cannot seem to fix my car... it continues to throw a 21 ... i know that its for the VTEC spool solenoid valve but what the hell is it actualy? where is that located and what do i do to fix it... this car is obd1 and running a p28 on a jdm d15

have you changed out teh solnoid?

 

also check your oil, and make sure you have no leaks.

 

new sylonoid (sp)... new every thing.......leak was fixed.... if my oil is seriously due for a change change that cause it?

 

yup. vtec works on oi pressure, and if your oil is shitty you could be loseing pressure. change it and then get back to us..

 

im still throwing this code...any one have any ideas?

 

have you reset the ecu?

 

yes sir....

 

check wiring for VTEC solenoid again (if the connection is poor, the CEL goes off)
