No personal experience, but have heard that the Tein BASICS suck and the KSports are good for their price

Tuesdaynightfever 05-30-2006 09:38 AM

I had Tein SS on my integra (rear only, don't ask, it came that way) and they felt pretty decent, although it was a little hard to tell with them only on the rear. I currently have k-sports on my hatch and I would tell anyone I know to buy them. For the price they are fantastic!

Look in suspension forum, plenty of dicussion there too.

I would say the Ksport Kontrol. They are really well made and work well. That price is really good too, I sell Ksport suspension and I can't get them that cheap. Are they new or used?

they are brand new...it cheap jsut because i bought some wheels from the same guy....how much u selling them for.let me know

bsixteen 05-30-2006 11:52 AM

i really like my SS's. its my first set of coilovers. before i had neuspeed springs. yea they are pricey but i'd rather pay for the good quality. not to say ksport is of bad quality b/c i know a few ppl w/ ksports and love them. so i'd say you can't go wrong w/ either...and it seems ksport is cheaper https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Re: tein or k-sport coilvers

i got the function & Form, they are just like the ksports i think. same price range anyway, i think the big difference here is that the tein suspension has really really soft spring rates (in my opinion) whereas the ksports, function & Form, D2, and other brands allow you to get custom spring rates for no extra charge.

JDMlyfestyle 05-30-2006 05:27 PM

Ksports all the way.. But if ur Budget is Higher id recommend Tien Flex

My TEIN SS are amazing. I don't think I'd own anything less.

superslow-oto 05-31-2006 07:29 PM

superslow-oto 05-31-2006 07:33 PM

by the way i've also heard that k-sports are really stiff.... i also want something comfortable for daily driving....anyone with k sports let me know how the ride is..........but right now k-sport sounds really good

Re: (superslow-oto)

ksport have dampening ajustability which the tein basics do not. unless you are going for the high dollar teins, like the flex, you should get ksport. that is what i am getting in the near future. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: (joker4096)

I say k sports adjusted in the full soft setting. It's firm but not harsh.

2-7offsuit 05-31-2006 09:34 PM

The Tein basics are good. I've actually had them unlike most of the people saying they suck. They are perfect for a daily driver.

http://www.allsprings.com (I think) was selling the H&R Cup Kit for 786.00. I have bought them and have been totally amazed at how nice they are. Rebound is adjustable and the height is 3-way adjustable. Just a thought.....take a look into them.

bmoua 05-31-2006 10:55 PM

the k's are going to ride stiff...if you can handle the bumpy ride then get it....if i had the money i'd just go with the teins....or if want to spend less and get your moneys worth get the GC/kyb adj setup...thats what i have on my EJ8..rides pretty good....i had some full coilovers from omni before the 6way adj ones..sucked ass....stiff as a mother but bumpy as shit.....most full coilovers are bumpy and stiff...though the teins aren't though

DeviousCTR 05-31-2006 10:59 PM

i have Tein SS on my EJ8.. they rock.. smooth ass ride..
