problem with checking codes

problem with checking codes
with the key on when i check codes with a paper clip the check engine light comes on and stays lit up it wont blink.
its wierd i got it to flash once dont know how and it threw codes
21 and 22
and with my car running if i check the codes it throws 8 tdc sensor
