Default Is This Normal For An Engine?

I searched, but didn't find what I was looking for. I have a d15b with about 100k miles on it. All stock and rarely was run passed 4,000rpms and didn't brunted oil or smoke. My valve cover gasket started to leak pretty bad because one of the valve cover bolts broke. I replaced the bolt, the valve cover gasket, and the spark plug seals. The spark plugs had some oil in it. One had a lot of oil in it. So I pulled out the plus, cleaned them and checked to see if they're still ok. So I stucked them back in and I cranked the car.

When I turned the car on it smoked black for a bit. And then kepted smoking black after I left it on for about 15 minutes.

My question is, is that normal? Because of all the oil that was in the spark plugs. Will it eventually go away? Thanks for your replies.

run the car for a little while and see if it keeps doing it...you may need to get new plugs, and one of your seals might be going bad
your symptoms sound kinda like a bad headgasket

Could be also try a compression test. You might have a ring problem.

Well, Im guessing since all that oil went to the cylinders, then the engine is just burning away all the excess oil, causing that black smoke. I guess you would have to wait and see if it goes away or not.
