Which mount is this???? ///b16a2
Standing at the front of the car looking in the engine bay.
on the left hand side ( passenger side ) is the trans.
you look down and on the very front of the trans there is supposed to be a mount there.
It is not the normal engine mount! its a transmission mount of some sort.
my car is missing this mount and doesnt even have the bracket.
I need to know what its called exactly so i can start looking for the correct part.
its a trannymount of some sort obviously. but what would i try to look up on ebay?
also it sucks cause i dont even have the bracket part....i have nothing.

??? Which year/model car?
I looked on www.hondaautomotiveparts.com to find all the engine mounts for a B16A2.

They are under "engine mounts" for a 99-00 Civic Si.
If you meant the bracket that bolts onto the front of the trans with 3 bolts, it's #10. If you have Polyurethane mounts, you usually don't need the torque mounts...so people eliminate them.

can you B Serious.... great name and perfect for this side of HT. it is a great thing to have when you dont have solid mounts like avid or the other ones. if you do switch to solid mounts then you can delete both sides even the ac bracket if you dont run ac

It's missing because that car was produced with a D series motor in it. The DC and EM1 chassis share this mount because they both come stock with B series motors, which both have these "torque mounts". You don't need a torque mount on a motor that doesn't come with any torque, D series! So the chassis wouldn't have it either.

The bracket itself that mounts to the transmission will need to come from a B series tranny.
But the rubber mount that mounts to the chassis should be from the Civic. Si or not.

The bracket itself is different between D and B series engines, but the mount is mounted on any 92-00 civic chassis.
IIRC, the EF/DA didn't have that mount. They had one in the front cross member. It's been a while since I swapped an EF....
Are you sure? I don't remember that mount being there on my stock '97 DX hatchback..
How nice of you to change your reply.
Bottom line, where do you get your info bud?
My STOCK 1997 coupe had em. My friends STOCK 98 coupe HAS them. There are part listings for them... what else do you need? Yes I'm sure.

I thought there was a possibility that I could be incorrect after you had pointed that out before.
The you said should which made me wonder if you were 100% sure or not. I wasn't about to stand behind my post 100% after you pointed it out, not looking to argue and create enemies on here like some of us.
I said "should be" meaning it needs to come from the civic chassis. Not being unsure.
I'm not trying to make enemies either. I just want to clear up misinformation as this forum seems to be plagued with it.

Torque mount, and yes, the '97 Civic DX hatches have them also. Make sure you order the one for your Civic and not the B-series mount. I made this mistake and found out the difference when I went to install. The non-vtec civic mounts have a gap in the top where they bolt to the frame so that they fit over a ridge in the frame. The B-series vtec mounts do not have that ridge so the piece is a solid metal piece that will not bolt up without modification. Still trying to find someone with a band saw so I can cut mine and replace the destroyed ones I currently have on the car.
