Need Help With P0505

I'm pretty much at my wits end with Code P0505 in this vehicle. I've smoke tested it and purged the coolant exhaustively since I've heard that Honda idle issues are often caused by vacuum leaks and air in the coolant. I recently changed the head gasket after doing a combustion leak test, hoping that may solve it. Although the car runs well most of the time, I still get P0505 intermittently. I changed the IACV with a used one(genuine Honda), and also relaced the PVC valve and hose. The PCV hose was very degraded and collapsed under vacuum. I also lowered the idle with the idle screw. I know this is a factory setting that is really not to be messed with, but I see on these forums that a lot of guys do it. I really thought I'd found the cure(especially with the PCV hose), and even drove it long enough to clear all the monitors from the computer, but was devastated when I soon got P0505 again. I know it may be time for a new IAVC, but a genuine Honda part is very expensive, and what if that's not the problem? I know that Honda idle issues are very common, so I was hoping for some help with this. Thanks in advance.
