anyone know how to pull the check engine code? on a obdII ecu

with a code reader. turn key on, plug the thing in to the bus connector under the dash near the fuses. then follow the directions on the reader. by the way, these readers will run you about $125 and up. it's worth it to take it to a reputable shop if you don't have access to a reader.
