Default HELP! speedometer problem

my speedometer doesn't follow my speed..i acceleterate from a complete stop and it remains on 0 for 1.5 seconds then it jumps up to my speed..and when i slow down quickly i come to a stop and the speedo is still dropping from 30-20-10-0...i think my speedo reads my speed from a moment ago..not that instant..does any know why!?!??!

I would defnitly recomend to check the speedometer sensor, and i defnitly do know that if your RPM gauge starts to bug out then that is being caused by a bad distributor

find the distributer, then look straight down and you will see the sensor, it is held in by one 10mm bolt.
