ok, i was driving my car with a b16a with type-r cams and i reved it to 8k but power seemed to stop at around 7k. the car was running fine last night, pulling to like 8500. i stoped, popped the hood and there was a knocking noice coming from the head. then i got back in and drove home but when i drive, there was no power above 3 or 4k. at first i though one of the lifters came off or the cam cover came loose so i took off the valve cover and everything seemed ok. now i think that the timing belt might have jumped a few teeth. what do you guys think???

its not that we dont want to reply to ur question..with those kinda symtoms we all just get a bit sick in the stomach ..id take it into a shop..in the long run ull save time and money ..good luck mang

 

and you might want to wait longer than 15 minutes also.

That sounds really terrible. Any engine codes? Maybe something wrong with the comp. I'd take it to a reputable shop that will fix what needs to be fixed w/o fixin things that are in no need of replacing. My brother took his to a rip-me-a-new-******* shop.
