could anyone tell me what the two rubber mounts are on the bottom of the frame? one on either side of the car. and also do i need to replace those or just get the innovative mounts.

Those are your torque mounts, one is on a bracket that's bolt to the transmission and then to the chassi and the other is what bolts to your A/C bracket/motor then to your chassi.

if i'm upgrading my motor mounts to avid do i still need the torque mounts?

yes you still need the torque mounts, and you should change those as well.

well i'm gonna have to cause both of them are in about half a dozen pieces on my garage floor...

ha ha ha.....well i guess so....but yes seriously you should change them, and it helps on the motor movement when shifting hard at high rpms...
