Default ek service connector bypass help

Hi, i am trying to set my base timing on my 97 ek civic, (no help searching) Can anyone tell me how to bypass the computer with this, i think i am supposed to jump a couple of wires with a paper clip or something?

I can see a big rubbery green clip with like five wire going into the back is this what i need to be looking at, its close to the computer?

Any help?

your looking in the right place. in the big rubbery green thing by the ECU there is a blue 2pin connector. jump those two wires. make sure you jump them while the car is off of course.

Default Re: (ej0513) about the computer bypass

I see the two wire plug within the green sleeve, there is a three one next to it, when i jmp those two wires and turn the key on to ignition the abs light flashes at me intimitantly for 5 then a pause then flash again and so on. Does this mean i have jumped the right wires? I am afraid to start the engine like this if it is not as i dont want to do any damage.

thanks
