i think ej is for usdm 96-00 civic
and ek is the type r in japan
but i could be wrong

The difference is how specific you want to be. Many people just use
92-95 = EG
96-00 = EK

However, there are EJ's in both gens.

EJ1 = 92-95 EX
EJ7 = 96-00 HX for example.

Search for the rest, there is a thread that has all of them listed for USDM and JDM.

call me stupid, but why do people still refer to the usdm 92-95 hatch as an eg? its a freakin EH... maybe eh is too hard to type? oh wait the letters are right next to each other, so that cant be it.

and the only 96-00 civics i've seen in america are all EJ's not any EK's... hmmm.

eh=usdm hatch 92-95
eg=jdm hatch 92-95
ek= jdm/ usdm hatch 96-00

im sure its wrong, i dunno where sedans and del sol's fall in but theyre in there too.

the info on the del sol is wrong... 96-97 sols came with d16y7 (s) d16y8 (si) b16a2 (vtec) i dont think they ever made a vtec-e in a sol either
