comptech header problem....

comptech header problem....
I got a comptech header from a friend for my 2k si... Well it's on the head, and it doens't bolt up to the cat. The cats holes are rotated the opposite way as the header. wtf? help ;[

it's just discoloration... there is no damage to the header whatsoever. it's in mint condition, it just looks like the holes are at the same angle as the cat just on the opposite side :confused:

then the oxygen sensor would be on the bottom and that can't be right

thats what i mean, first find out what engine it was on. Because it might not even be for ur car. and u have the 99-00 one maybe it was for the new si. so find that out first then get back to us. U said it was ur friend. ask him

Here's an idea, try unbolting the other side of the cat, rotate it 180 degrees and rebolt everything together.

if its froma 2k si and your putting it on a gsr then the cat is rotated in a diff position then a si cat so it wont bolt up...you can get the cat cut and modified to make it fit

cut the header and rotate that piece and weld it back together? can't i just get like a test pipe or something that has that piece that bolts up to the header that can move freely?
