D.I.Y EDM / JDM EK (96-98) Clock install
There really isn't a D.I.Y for this so this is for the noobs that cant figure it out
Here's the clock: i got the Amber one since my cluster and everything is pretty much amber lighting. The other option is the White lighted clock. Make sure if your getting the clock from someone on Ebay or local seller that you get the harness with it as I have read that many people don't include the harness. The harness is a blue plug with 4 wires coming out.
Wire code for the clock:
Yellow: 12v
White/blue: Illumination and Memory
Red/Black: Dimmer
Black: Ground
Step 1: Remove the Climate Control / Audio Bezel whatever you want to call it.
There are DIY for this so search!
Kidding heres a good DIY although i took mine apart myself without any issues but this will help whoever doesn't know.

Step 2: Wiring of the factory Clock harness
I simply wired it up to the factory radio harness as it had all the wiring that i needed to operate the clock.
NOTE: Don't wire it up to any aftermarket harness you may have plugged into the factory harness.
REASON: if you ever decide to change the deck or your deck gets stolen with the adapter you may need to re wire the clock again...so to be safe just wire it up to the factory harness.
Wiring: Match up these wires. Only one wire is different from the factory radio harness which is the yellow wire.
Heres the picture of all 4 wires T joined with the factory harness and Soldered.
I like to keep my wiring clean so i taped each wire up individually then taped it up with the wire loom. So it looks oem
Step 3: Install clock on Bezel
When you flip the bezel over you will notice beside where the radio sits it has 2 holes. I put in screws so you can see what im talking about...this is where the clock sits. The holes are not threaded so you will need to get screws that will thread into it.
Installed
And the final product after the bezel and everything installed
NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU MESS UP!

Re: D.I.Y EDM / JDM EK (96-98) Clock install
you will need to find another harness that can work with it....
1) go to the junk yard and see which other harness will plug in and snip it out...
2) or order one from UK.......
3) or make your own

Hmm I tried wiring it using
But first time it didn't work and now I have it wired to red/black factory harness to yellow clock and red/yellow factory harness to red/black clock wire and it works but it just won't turn off now and makes that annoying beep sound when I open the driver door. What could be the problem?
