Default Replacement Key Options

Long story short, I went to my local Honda dealer to get a quote for a replacement key for my 17 Civic Sport. $200 dollars to replace one key! Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. My previous car was my 00 Civic SI and as I am sure some of you would be familiar you can just take a copy of your key to any key shop and make a copy for no more than $30.

So to all my Honda peeps, Is there any options or good DIY options to program key? Please link or let us know about other avenues to replace a key in 2018.

DIY options, No.

Your comparing apples and oranges. You might fine a FOB on eBay, but still will need to get a dealer involved. All the FOBs must be available to reprogram all to the system. Did you loose the FOB or it just quit? Battery on the new smart FOBs last about 2 years. The old dumb fobs you could get 10 years. Good luck.
