Default ? for Greddy Guys

How are the guys with Greddy Turbo kits numbers compared to AJP. Seems all i see is AJP this and that. Does Greddy usually do stage kits like others?

Usually not, this will be my fourth Greddy kit (diff cars). They quote 25% increase but on our stock motors with stock exhaust and cat on low boost. If you upgrade these parts, tune and increase boost, power gains far exceed 25%.

greddy is more on the reliable side, while AJP is more on the "BOOST IT TIL IT BLOWS" side haha, but they are getting some impressive numbers.

NO FEAR GREDDY'S HERE!!!!

GReddy Kit - Although it might not produce power like AJP. I'm happy to say, I love the kit on my car.
-25% increase horsepower = 220whp
-one thing the advertise didn't tell you was the tremendous amount of torque increase.... I've gain over 100lb torque. If you don't believe me, ask the other guys with the Greddy Kits, I'm sure they've done only around 132lbtorque stock and they should be around 215-220lbtorque now 90+
-I put the turbokit on when I had around 6,000 miles.... Now I have 24,000 miles.
The only problem I've encounter so far the god damn GAS Mileage!!!

AJP Kit - Never seen it in action... But I've heard this is one bad *** kit from 5000rpm to redline... 375whp+ is something I would not recommend for a daily driven vehicle. If you drive your SI as a weekend warrior...than I would definately get this kit!

Also... Check out the V-Manage Next Month!!!

I'm waiting for that to come out, its going to make the GReddy Kit even better by adjusting the variable valve timing!!!

I'm hoping to get a bigger fuel pump, upping the boost to 15psi, getting vmanage and retuning the emanage ultimate. This should bring me to 300whp.
If I don't I'm giving this turbokit away on Honda-tech for FREE!!!

Hey I'd be interested in your progress actually. I dont know anything about the emanage but if you end up with 300whp can you share your map? I also have dibs on your kit when you give it away. I'm not decided yet on N/A or FI.

EDIT: Also the AJP kit says its like what $4300? For them to make it the 350whp people are dropping $7100 for the setup installed. seems kind of crazy. Id rather get the greddy and a decent FI cam. I think it would be well worth the money.

I'll keep ya's posted.
I've been so busy with work lately, I don't even have time to see my girlfriend.
300whp is perfectly achieveable on the greddy kit. Its not a good thing to share maps. Even if I achieve the 300whp with a new tune map... I would not share it to the public, I don't want to get blame for blowing up other persons car if it doesnt run right in their vehicle, if ya know what I mean...

$4300 AJP? - I think you could get one of our turbokits through one of our Authorized Dealers for around $3000... installation shouldn't run you more than $1200.

I saw that the Greddy kit is for a "FG2" but it should fit a "FA5" with no problem, right? Is it really necessary to remove the bumper support?

Also, are all the current kits being shipped now pnp? I wish someone had these kits in stock.

GReddy has not tested the bolt on turbokit on the FA5. The engine's are 2 different engines.... in order to make the FG2 Turbokit work on the FA5... there is alot of modifications needed.

I'll put in a request for all you FA5 guys to make a bolt on turbokit for it. (Probably take like 3-4 months for prototyping)

Also... Yes removing the bumper reinforcement is a must. I actually feel safer with the Intercooler piping being replace with the factory reinforcement bar. If u ever take out your re-bar and look at the intercooler piping greddy provides.... your going to know what I'm talking about. GReddy Piping is pretty thick... it seems that it could take a bigger impact than the factor re-bar.

Yes the kit does come with plug and play harness.
The kit is major back order right now... We ship more than 50+ kits every month and there is still a good amount of back order. The next batch would be available
beginning of next month

I'm kind of confused because I thought the setup was pretty much the same for the coupe SI and the sedan SI. I know that the front bumpers differ and that the midpipe of the exhaust is 2" longer on the sedan but that shouldn't make too much of a difference. Would you happen to know exactly what modifications are needed?

Your in Virginia? How far is Manassas from you?

http://www.ptuning.com = The largest facility I've seen in the North East Region.
Give those guys a call and ask for Mike... Say Danny from GReddy refer you too him, he'll hook you up with a good price and install.

Thanks man. Just gave them a call but they currently don't have any in stock. He quoted me normal pricing at $3,229.95.
